I am so behind this year for the Holidays. I do not have my tree up yet, only a few decorations, a few presents bought. And I haven't started my cards yet. I have to get to this stuff this weekend, no ifs, ands or butts.
BUT...the one thing I have bought for our family gift is..... Rock Band!!!!! My kids wanted this game. Let me give you some background. My kids really like video games. We have had several different Nintendos (back to the original one), Sega, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, X-box, X-box 360 and the Game Cube. We do NOT have the WII.... yet. Now, I haven't bought all of these things, their dad has bought some, they have bought some and I have succumbed and bought a few things. Okay, I CANNOT, let me repeat... CANNOT play any friggin' game whatsoever, I don't care how 'easy' it is. I cannot do it. Until..... Guitar Hero. I heart Guitar Hero. So, as a family game we WILL be rockin' out to Rock Band in 15 days. And did I mention I bought this for the kids... no really. If they ask, it's for THEM!
And if they are real good... they just might find this, too, under the tree. Guitar Hero III But they are gunna have to be really, really good... or I might have to keep it for myself. WAHHHH WAHHHHHHHHHHH ::evil laugh::

I love guitar hero too!!! Bob really wanted the Rock band thing too.. I told him he could wait till after christmas, when (Hopefully, more than likely) It will be way cheaper.. You'll have to tell me how much you like it..
I am horrible at video games, I mean I can't even make Mario jump in the right direction. Remember Frogger? My frog was always wet! Sounds like your family will be busier after Xmas playing games than the prep work before Xmas! :)
muahahaha. I really want the Nintendo Wii....but I have so many mixed feelings about game systems. I might get one after the holidays, though it would be such a blast New Years Eve...drinks and wii...good times.
I hope your kids love Rock Band, hope you don't regret that...put ear plugs on your list. :D
I love the games that I buy for my kids but I secretly buy for myself.
We have a Wii and I love it!! We have family bowling tournaments, my 7 year old usually wins. Have a fun Christmas!

We are currently on a mad hunt for a Wii. If we find one, I am getting Guitar Hero for my husband. He is goofy crazy about that game. I am like you and can't play video games worth a darn. I'm hoping to redeem myself with my Taebo skills in the Wii boxing game!
We visited in-laws at Thanksgiving and 8 cousins (all boys) played rock band the entire time. Even my husband got into the act and had everyone laughing. I think it's much better than regular video games. God bless.
