I think I am caught up!

I have been gone a week. I haven't read any blogs or made any posts. I didn't really mean to do it, it just worked out that way. It's been a busy week. School conferences, dance lessons, Ballet practice, wrestling matches, blah blah blah, not to mention terribly busy at work. But I think I am pretty much caught up now. I have missed a lot!!!!!!!!!! Broken Legs, 100th Posts, Birthdays here and here, Blogging Addictions and oh so much more!

It should be a fun filled weekend, my step son will be over and my son only has to work Saturday morning. This means that all weekend I will have no less than 6 teenage boys in my home all weekend. FUN!?!? I know... you are all so jealous. Try to contain it.... I will try to get some pictures to prove what fun is!

I am hoping to escape the chaos at some point with my daughter to try and find some form of girly time! We are going to watch my neice dance on Saturday night and then Sunday we will go to her Ballet practice. Thank God!

Took some online quizzes with my two teenage sons last night. That was dumb! I found out somethings I really never needed to know. Like, things girls have said to my 14 year old that cannot be repeated here. Or, things girls have offered to do to my 18 year old that I cannot repeat here. But the things I found out that were good, are my 18 year olds views on sexual relations with girls... very solid and mature. Whew. Let's just say my 14 year old has some wild ideas and needs to corralled and ideas beat into his head for the next 4 years but the good news on that is, I still have time to beat it into him!

My husband and I went to dinner alone last night. That was our gift to each other for the "hallmark holiday". It was just an excuse to not cook in my book, so I was alllll for it! The kids chose Taco John's to have. Uh ok. So they got their meal and we had ours. Seperate! :-)

Have a good weekend!

Those 6 teenage boys would like to be living next door to me tonight, as I am supposed to have 5 teenage girls here at my house - you are as crazy as me!!!

Dinner out sounds wonderful - I need a night like that! I'm glad you had a good Valentines dinner.

Have a good weekend - Kellan

I have been wondering where you went! Sounds like you have been very busy!!

Tonight is my night to have a date with my hubby without the kids. I agree with the "any reason to not cook"

YUM Taco Johns. While I have never eaten at Taco Johns (never even heard of it until today) Tacos sound yummy.

I hope you had a nice dinner.

Good way to connect with your boys! It's important to know what's going on and you sound like you have a good relationship with them.

Dinner out is good. Dinner out, ALONE, is even better!

All those teenage boys?? I think I'd go nuts.. They will eat you out of house and home.. I'm glad you're back. I hope you and your daughter manage to get away. And if I were you, I might plan on sending the 14 yr old to an all boys school.. lol.. I just tell my son all girls are hoochies.. lol.. (well except for me, and his sister.) I'm kidding, but now I'm thinking I better get started on telling him that.. I'm glad you had a cook free night!!! That's the best way to spend ANY night.

Glad to see you are back and all caught up...are we ever really truly caught up? I was just whining to my Hubby yesterday that I feel like I am always 3 steps behind trying to catch up. Someday I will be so bored and praying for these crazy full days with no free time...of course blogging doesn't count! :)

Have a "FUN" weekend with all the boys. Just think of when you were a teenage girl, wouldn't have been cool to say you were hanging out with 6 boys all weekend! Ha.
Have a great time at ballet as well. Never a dull moment at your house! :)

First of all, what a fun way to link to your friends blogs! I love that (and when I have time I need to go and read some of them).

Secondly I am NOT looking forward to teenage years with my kids because of those survey reasons. Scary. When it happens, I'm calling you.

YUM! Taco Johns! I love love love the potato ole's - with cheese. Thanks, now I'm drooling. We don't have taco John out here. Once a year on vacation we make a family pig-out trip to Taco John. It's the best!

Thanks for wishing my big girl a happy birthday. We took her out for Mexican at On The Border and it was super delicious!

Enjoy your boy time - I'd have no idea what to do with that many boys in my house at once. Usually there's just one male in this house (my husband) and us girls almost have him converted. We're working on it. Suppress the testosterone!

Glad you are back!

I feel like I am going to have to spend an entire day reading and catching up on blogs because I have been out of it too! Hope you had a fun filled weekend!

A house full of teenage boys? A couple years ago the "Mrs. Robinson" in me would have said "Great!" Now the future-mom in me groans and wonders how many years before I have to start fighting them away from my teenage daughter.

Having just survived my son's birthday party with twelve thirteen year olds I will say this...You will survive! At least you have a daughter...absolutely no girls in my family!

God bless.
