I have been tagged by valarie and desirae to tell you all 8 random things about me.
Here are the rules. When tagged you must link to the person who tagged you. Then post the rules before your list, and then list 8 random things about yourself. At the end of your post you must tag and link to 8 other people.
1. I started getting gray hair in my early 20's (it runs in my family and I got the lucky gene, my 2 sisters didn't... no envy there, nope). I dye it and highlight it. It sucks.
2. I am a 1st degree black belt and taught tae kwon do for years. I am really not a bad a**, but I guess it could come in handy one day.
3. I hate birds, fish and snakes and not necessarily in that order. Birds scare me, if they fly to close to me I get all panicky. I also get all anxiety ridden if I swim in a lake and envision fish just swimming around waiting to touch my feet or legs...I seriously HATE it. And snakes... I just hate them, keep them far, far away.... or I will scream.
4. I secretly hate my job and long to stay home. I have to work right now but I am secretly plotting to be able to afford to stay home. I will eventually bring this up to my husband after I have stealthily made it feasible and he will be none the wiser.
5. No one I know personally reads my blog.... or for that matter even knows about my blog. It's just for me, all about me. Something I rarely get (if ever.)
6. All of my sisters and myself, all of our first AND middle names start with a "D". My mom was (is) demented. She could never, ever get out names right, EVER. Since they all started with "d". We were even called the cats name some, I think just to mix it up a bit.
7. I love to eat out. I hate to cook, I hate to clean after you cook. I could eat out every single day and I am not kidding. I had a job where I traveled quite a bit for 2 years and ate out every day and night, NEVER got sick of it. (#4 - interferes with this # greatly).
8. I love black licorice. That's black jelly beans, too. You know, the ones nobody wants to eat. I DO! I love them, they are my very favorites. In fact they are really the only jelly beans I truly like.
That about sums it up. I am too nice chicken to tag 8 people, so if you are reading this... consider yourself tagged :)

*My grandmother had a grey stripe (think stripe like a skunk) when she was 16. I only saw one picture of her like that, then she took to dying her hair.
*Fish at the ocean nibbling on my feet freak me out too. We live near Ocean City MD, and its so yucky there, you cant see the bottom of the ocean when wading, and I have issues if I feel something that I can't see. So I don't go in the water there, LOL.
*I secretly hate staying at home with my kids some days - wanna switch. I am sure we can work out something where we each work 3 days/week while the other stays home with the kids, LOL.
*I too love black licorice, and jelly beans. No one else understands why, but its nice to know I am not the only one.

Jennifer- if only we lived closer to each other (I am in central midwest), otherwise we could make something work ;). Yea, you and I are soul sisters with the black jelly beans!
I got my first gray hair when I was 16. I didn't start coloring it until I was 32 and saw the video of myself after giving birth to my son. I hadn't realized how much gray I had until I saw the video. Now I'm a Preference gal.
I hate snakes and I LOVE black jelly beans and black licorice.
When I was a teenager, I always wanted to go gray early. I thought it would look glamourous to have a head full of shiny silver hair, yeah now that I have some silver (ahem.. ok gray), I've changed my mind. And I agree with the cooking thing, it's not so much the cooking as it is the mess. (dirty plates, pans, pots, stove, etc). I'm a big fan of the happy meal where the hardest job is opening the toy.
Amen to the fish thing! I won't even get in the water at all to give myself a chance to envision them. Ick. I tmakes me a little sick jsut to think about that. I am 28 and have startd to get some pretty serious gray's going on. My dad was completely gray by the time he was 22 though, so I am counting my blessings. :)
And Holy crap! A frist degree black belt. Sweet!
I love those "Good & Plenty" candies for the black licorice and I love Twizzlers (Strawberry)! The D names are funny. My grandmother names almost all of her 8 kids with J names. My grandmother and mother and me are all premature white - I color mine, but they never did. Cool info. See ya.
Ugh! I just got my first gray hair this year and I'm *only* 28. I too also L-O-V-E black jelly beans. I won't go into the banana slits that I would order for myself back home. Let's just say, hubby loves me anyways!

I didn't know anyone felt the same way as I do about fish and birds! Just watching fish squirm around in the water makes me sweat and shudder. Just thinking about it does really. Yicks.
Seriously not anyone that you know reads your blog? My divorced parents leave messages to each other on mine! :)
Cecily r - that is precisly why no one I know reads my blog... my divorced parents would be leaving each other messages on my blog, as well. It's bad enough they email and talk on the phone and we are all grown and left home, they are both happily re-married and yet they get along great. Now they call and 'talk' about us girls, kind of behind our backs, just what I don't want on my blog LOL
I am totally with you on the black jelly beans! Luckily, no one else in my family likes them, so I get them ALL! Ain't life grand?!
I hate cooking and my son loves Tae Kwon Do (I hope I spelled that right) but quit because he did not like the instructor. Yeah, I'm also trying to work from home but it's not working! UGH I keep finding scams or stuff in other states and as a single mom, I can't quit my day job. Let me know how that turns out!

When I was growing up, we had a dog named Farfel. There were only me and my brother, different first initials, and my parents still mixed us up with the dog. Now that I am a parent, I see why. Those brain cells just go.
At least you have hair. I started going bald as a young man - I'm use to it now. My brothers kept their hair (at first) and now most of them are losing theirs - and they're going gray. At least I've kept my color.
Thanks for visiting the blog.

Okay, so now my lame computer is going to let me comment finally! I read a few things on your 8 randoms that are same as me! I too am a 1st degree black belt in karate though. I teach karate in my kids' class. I haven't been a black belt for too long, only about a year but I love karate! I don't hate my job but do long to stay home. I've been home now since I went on bed rest with this last pregnancy, about 10 weeks ago. It's been nice but so many things have gone on (she was born 6 weeks early so had a longer hospitalization, then I had a few minor issues but issues nonetheless, now she was hospitalized for about 4 days for RSV)...so haven't really experienced normal SAHM life. First name starts with "D" :), love black jelly beans, don't exactly hate cooking but definitelyl don't love it...HATE cleaning up after cooking and baking!!! How's that for some similarities?
Oh, one more thing. No one I know personally knows about my blog...or at least didn't. I sent my sisters a funny video I found and happened to be logged in to Blogger and since my one sister didn't recognize my blogger name she googled it and found my blog! She hasn't told anyone about it but then I told 2 more of my sisters cause I thought maybe I was abnormal that I wrote all about my family, and such and didn't let them know about it! Now I kind of wish I hadn't but I don't think they read it anyway..just the one sister does. I feel like I can just be totally free if I don't think as I write what someone might think!
